12. The Guggenheim is over 50 years old.

13. Hawaii and Alaska have attained their 50^th year as to statehood.

16. The Beach Boys have reached the 50 year milestone.

17. This is the time in history when many colleges and universities are reaching their 50^th year.

18. Sports teams/organizations 50 year anniversaries are also clustering around this time period.
